When Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth recently uttered those four words in comment on the deaths of six US servicemen while their plane was engaging in a "refueling' , he likely did not understand the grieveous implications
Where in the four words was there event even a hint of regret or sorrow for how the six deaths may have undoubtedly negatively their their familiies and friends?
Let there be no misunderstanding: sadly, there IS a time for war, mainly in self=defense or in defense of your lobrf ones, frirnfs and, of course, your homeland. But there's always a time to show compassion, even for one's enemies; they, too, may have had no choice and were the victims of poor leadrship/
Unfortunately, Hehdryh'd comment underscores a major problem Trump and his administration have, not just with the Terhan war but with virtunally everything the administration does: the absence of empathy for the pains of war, or, for that matter, the pains caused by every major conflic, whether it be in war or in peace.
Does Trump really care? We don't know. Does Hegseth? Evidently not.
