Do "Politics" Really Matter?

Of course they do. When they are in error in the USA, the nation is in deep trouble, but so is the rest of the world.

Our ideology or, if you will, our way of looking at life and the world; that is much more basic, and, therefore, most important. Without a sound ideology underlying and directing our politics, what we do will inevitably lead to disaster.

How important do we think life itself is? We must place the highest value on life itself, wherever it exists, wherever there are human beings living (and dying). Otherwise, we are not living as our Creator intended.

Unfortunately, we often value success and wealth more than we value life itself. And when we hold that extremist focus, we are destined to fail. Neither success nor the wealth that often comes with it will suffice to make our politics sound and and trustworthy. Do you doubt that? Well, ask anyone who has succeeded and obtained significant wealth;' if they answer honestly, they will tell you point blank that success and making lots of money does not, has not, given them the deepest pleasure they want in life.

Life is all about relationships. If you have real friends and a significant "other" in your life, you are blessed; and you know it. In addition, you are able to support persons in important political offices who hold to the values you do, which include, genuinely caring about the wellbeing of all other people, of all ages.
