When Does An Excursion Become An All-Out War?

Obviously, in current usage, when Donald Trump says so. For it was he who defined the conflict in Iran as an excursion

But Trump also said that the excursion would last only three to four weeks Thus, if it continues for, say, another 10 days, by April 1 it will have become a real war.

Needless to say, "excursion" created a lot of confusion among the nations involved in the Iranian conflict, but even more, in the people who are keeping up with the conflict in a serious effort to understand its significance.

We do not need an all-out war, with Iran or any other nation, least of all, with China. We've got our hands full trying to keep stable USA politics.

So, I wish to declare here and now that the excursion is over, and there is no possibility it will continue as a war.

Iran is no real threat to our security at home. And when evaluated in terms of their physical attributes, Iranians are a beautiful people. Let us simply appreciate the nation and its people.

Most importantly, we citizens of the USA do indeed have our hands full. We don't know any more, if we ever did, who the bad and the good guys are. Democrats? Republicans? Independents? We have no idea

Also, on a more personal level, I need to keep what little in assets i have accumulated, if not for myself, for my two daughters, who, it is already evident, are notgoing to be able to have sufficient funds to live reasonably well in their elder years.

So, you read it here: The excursion is over! And there's no world war in sight!
